him. The ailment, however, came hack again, a. lew days ago and on the instructions of liis owner, Mr A. Deban, of Greymouth, the gelding was destroyed. Killigrew was never sound, and liis refusal to leave the harrier on so many occasions was considered to ho due more to liis ailments than to any roguish inclinations. Nevertheless his connexions and many of the public have reason to regret that lie was not destroyed more than 12 months ago.
