REFUSAL TO RESUME

HAMILTON, April IS. As a protest against the proposed 20 per cent wage reduction at' Renown mine, all the miners in Huntly, and Glenafton districts, except Pukemiro refused to resume work to-day. The men are opposed to the cutting of coal ju ices, which, they regard a s being, dene with ulterior motives. It is the intention of the men to seek Government intervention to fix a fair price for coal.
