KIDNAPPING

CHICAGO, April 15
Jerome Factor, urged 17, the son of John Factor (“Jake th e Barber”), is held for 100,000 dollars ransom, according to a police statement. The elde r Factor is awaiting the outcome of an appeal to the United States Supreme Court from an order extraditing him to England on charges of swindling British investors of 8,000,000 dollars.
The police have reported that John 'Factor was (abducted on Wednesday night as he was about to enter the hom e where he was living with his mother, who has been divorced from the elder Factor for several years. His father received a not e on Friday demanding SCKOOO dollars ransom. A second note was received later, raising the amount to 100,000 dollars. The first letter contained a threat ; to .send the youth home in pieces unless the demands were complied with.
