The Prime Minister (Air Ramsay MacDonald) and Miss Ishbel MacDonald sailed on the Berengaria on their way to Washington. Mr MacDonald is accompanied bv Air Robert A'ansittarl (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs), Sir Frederick Lcith-Rosi (Chief Economic Adviser Lo the Government), Messrs J. A. N. Barlow (private secretary), E. Overtoil (Board of Trade), and Howard Smith and At. Wright (of the Foreign Office).
