The Taranaki Rifle Association’s championship belt was won on Saturday by F. C. Ilogg, New Plymouth, vj.io made two .consecutive ten sl(ot possibles at 300 and 530 yards, and 48 at 603 yards. There were nine possible in the various shoots. The teams' match produced magnificent shooting Wanganui won with 497 out of a possible 525, a Dominion record for a fivemati team, over three ranges. 'The previous record of 494 was made by the Taranaki Rifles on the same range in New Plymouth in lb 11. Rifleman E. S. Farley, Wanganui equalled the world’s record with a sen re of 35 at each range. The conditions were fairly good, there being a strong but steady left wind.
