GAMES OF CHANCE SAYS JUDGE.

AUCKLAND, April 7.

The decision of Justice Herdman, delivered to-day, is that frjiit machines which are in operation in many Auckland tobacconists' shops are games ot chance. The Judge said that the machine was operated before him in Court;, and it seemed -to him that any dexterity exhibited by the operator did not dispose of the element of chance. The game was for all practical purposes one of pure chance.
