PRESERVING WORLD PEACE,

LONDON, March 30,
“Pacifists urge that a Fascist Empire would cause the rest of the world similarly to organise, thus precipating a terrible war. On the contrary, leaders of Fascist States would have a better chance than powerless parliamentarians of apportioning world markets, and eliminating other causes of war,” declared Sir Oswald Mosley, chief of the British Fascists, in an interview.
Sir Oswald said the simultaneous growth of Fascism in England and the Dominions was the only hope of consolidating the Empire and preserving world peace. Ottawa and similar conferences were not able to accomplish much, as the delegates, though conscious oF Imperial needs, dared go no farther than their home parties stood. “Fascist Government in Britain, Australia and Canada, conferring frequently, and possessing the power to act on their decisions, could institute a planned Empire economy, and promote mass migration,” said Mr Oswald. “British Fascism is. rapidly growing, doubling- its number each two months. Though the movement was recently boycotted, our activities are now broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation and featured in the news films. “We have accepted the designation of Fascism because it expresses more than a form of government; it is a philosophy of life, laying stress on energy and discipline.” Sir Oswald said that members of'the Sydney organisation, the New Guard, would be accorded all the privileges of the British Fascists.
