FOUR POWER PACT

PARIS, April 7
The Chamber of Deputies discussed the proposed Fou r Power peace pact. The Premier, M. Daladier, defined France’s attitude to the Mu s isolini plan, and saicl that she would '' not countenance ' a directory of Great Powers laying down the law to smaller nations.
The French solution of the European problem was equality of nations. Any new pact must be a sequel to the League Covenant, and the Kellogg and Locarno Pacts.
Following M. Daladier, M. Blom (Socialist) declared the Socialists disapproved of the Four Power Fact because it introduced an oligarchy into international relations. M. Franklin Bouillon said that the proposed revision of treaties meant the spoliation of France’s allies. Germany should never he conceded ' the right to re-arm.
The Chamber passed a motion of confidence in the Government by 439 to 107.

LONDON, April 6
M. Titulescu, Roumanian Foreign Minister, had an interview with the jjf.rimo Minister, arid ’Sir J. Simon (Foreign Secretary) on the subject iff the proposed Four Power Plan.
