Following Mr Latham’s statement in the House of Representatives, Mr Bell (Tasmania) asked if it wore conceivable. that (potatoes .from New Zealand would be admitted to Victoria, while Victoria continued to impose an embargo against Tasmania potatoes, because of {disease, which was prevalent also in New Zealand potatoes. Mr Latham said the Government lrad noted the anomaly and the matter whs fin-don consideration.
