BIRTH CONTROL
STRONG DENUNCIATION GIVEN
“SHAME OF ENGLAND.”
LONDON, March 23
Denouncing the forthcoming West End ball on behalf of the International Birth Control movement, Father Woodlock, preaching at Farm Street Church, said that it would blazon England’s shame throughout the world.
Is was not surprising, Father Woodlock added, that Mr Justice McCardie (the bachelor Judge whose comment in divorce and other cases w'here marital rights are concerned has often shown a modern trend of thought) was acting as host. “His popularity among the advocates of birth control dated from' his notorious judicial pronouncements. “Women and girls who attend the ball will brazenly profess sympathy with a movement which is hurrying England toward the precipice of race suicide.
“England is already running neck and neck with Sweden for the shameful distinction of having the wood’s l n we"t birth rate,” declared Father Woodlock.
