CHRHISTCHURCH, March 28,

Myrtle Bong, aged 45, a domestic, was charged this morning with attempting to murder Arthur Henry Way on March 25th. She was remanded until April 4th in the custody of the Sal.vation Army.

Way, a commercial traveller, aged 53, appeared in a charge of being unlawfully on the premises of 79 Hackthorne Road on March 27th, and was remanded until April 4th. The police alleged that five (shots were fired at Way, and Way refused to give any particulars, other than that he was shot accidentally in the arm.
