INAUGURATION CELEBRATIONS
RELATIVE OF HOBSON ATTENDING
WELLINGTON, March 27
At the first mooting of tho Waitangi National Trust Board, Senator Massey Green, of Australia will provide ono of the most interesting links with those directly concerned in the framing and signing of tho treaty of Waitangi. Senator Greene is a great nephew of Captain Hobson, New Zealand’s first Governor. He has accepted an invitation to attend the celebrations to mark tho inauguration. of the Trust Board's work in administering tlie area presented to the nation by Lord and Lady Blcdisloe. Senator Greene is believed to be the only "person in the Dominion today who i s a descendant of Governor Hobson.
Mr G. W. Forbes left for Auckland eh route to Waitangi, by to-night’s Limited Express. He spends to-mor-row in Auckland.
A large party will leave Wellington for Waitangi by to-morrow afternoon’s express.
