It is. considered a logical conclusion that Hitler’s work must be the restoration of the monarchy. Careful preparation is needed, however, as the return of petty rulers to the smaller States would impede unification at which the Nazis aim.
The solution might he a Kaiser, elected by the heads of former ruling houses.
Wilhelm may find it a mission of reconciling groups which at present lare bitter enemies.
MINISTER CHARGED WITH THEFT
BERLIN, March 25
The arrested Reich Minister, Dr. Gereka, is by the Government accused of misappropriating altogether sixty thousand sterling of the funds of the union of German communes, of which lie was chairman. He was originally given this post by Chancellor Von who was attracted to him by his comprehensive scheme or relieving unemployment. He sat with the other Ministers in the Reichstag during Herr Hitler’s speech. Then he, returned to his Department, where lie was arrested by the political police.
SOCIALIST LEADER RELEASED
BERLIN, March 25.
Herr Severing, the Socialist leader,has been released on condition that he does not evade further interrogation. It is stated that he has been questioned as to the destination of ia hundred thousand sterling which he and Herr Braun, ex-Premier of Prussia, are accused by Nazis of taking from the Prussian Treasury for Socialist Party purposes when he was the Socialist Minister for the Interior.
BAVARIA’S FORCES DISSOLVED.
MUNICH, (March 25
Herr Wagner, Reich Minister of the Interior, has dissolved all of the Bavarian defence forces, except the Nazi troops. He bias abolished the Bayernwacht, a trained force of one hundred thousand, raised by the People’s Partv in 1932.
270 ARRESTS FOLLOW RAID
