RETURN FLIGHT TO-MORROW,
FINAL TEST SATISFACTORY.

NEW PLYMOUTH, March 24. The final test of the Southern Cross was made to-day with a full crew. Everything was satisfactory. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith ex* pects advice from the Government meteorologist at midday to-morrow, On that advice will depend whether he leaves for the Ninety Mile Beach about 1.30. If the weather is suitable he intends to liop off for Australia;'at daybreak on Sunday.
TASMAN WEATHER FORECAST
SYDNEY, March 24.
Anticipating that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will begin his return flight from New Zealand at the week-end, the weather bureau here forecasts strong north-west to west winds over the Tasman Sea; rather rough weather over south of latitude 40 degrees; fresh east to south-east winds between Norfolk Island and New Zealand.
