AUSTRALIA, March 23
Remarking that the consuls of six countries had interviewed the. Government on the subject of trade agreements with the Commonwealth, Mr Latham, in the House of Representatives, said :“It is obvious that they are seeking to give us something in return for what we are prepared to give them.” - -■ Earlier, he announced that the representatives of France, Germany, Norway and Italy had interviewed Ministers on the trade treaties, and it is thought that 'the' other two are Cainii and Japan.
