PALMERSTON NORTH, March 22. Tlie'biennial conference of tuo brand Lodge of Druids is being held here. Over one hundred delegates are present from, every lodge in jurisdiction. For the first; time in the history of the Order, a lady delegate is representing a lodge at conference.
Reports adopted show that despite tlie difficulties of the times, progress was recorded, the total membership being 13,764, including 272 lady members.
The balance sheet showed the various funds increased by £41,517/10/6. The chief details are sick and funeral £22,988/11/11, death benefits £11,519 17/7, special death benefit £1,052/14/3, members’ investments £6850/9/4. The total funds are £676,189. benefits to members show £20,043 was expended on sick benefits and funeral benefits totalled £12,996. The conference is now considing remits.
