WELLINGTON, March 21. \ dbputp tunong' the stewards, who had a grievance against Une chief steward, resulted in a hold-up of the Maunganui to-day, which was to have sailed for' ’Fnsco. Several of. the .stewards refused to sail unless- the chief steward were suspended. The Company refused to accede to the men’s demand. It wa s decided to pay the malcontents off. The Company njteiidfc to engage new stewards lit the morning when the vessel will sail.
