REDUCTION ON LAST YEAR.

Tne air estimates are £17,426,000, which allowing for the transfer from other estimates of £360,000 means a reduction of £340,000 compared with last year. The gross total of . the civil aviation estimates is £663,000 whereof the Imperial Airways . subsidy is £365.000,. and .for the extension of the route to India and Australia £30,000. . 1 " ' •
Lord Londonderry’s memorandum hopes for the absence of unforseen dela.ys,. and regular communication with Australia to be established late in the summer or early autumn.
