; SEARCH BY AEROPLANE. ' NO-, TRACE OF WRECKAGE. LONDON. February 19. An aeroplane- chartered by the Daily Sketch, flew 1200 miles in scourins, the heavily-timbered area round Avallon, (seeking traces of the famous airman, Mr Bert Hinkler, who was lost when flying from England to Australia.
Although the aeroplane spent 32 hours in the search, and flew so low that itr almost touched- the. treetops, no trace of wreckage was seen. A photographer took numerous pictures of forest clearings, Which a crashing aeroplane might hare made.
