NEW ZEALAND MAY ENTER TEAM. ANDREWS AND STEDMAN, , WELLINGTON, March 1. The New Zealand, La urn Tennis Association has decided to have two permanent centres in the South Island as well 3's two in the North Island for consideration when arranging the New Zealand championships. Dunedin, lias been selected as the second permanent centre. An amendment to substitute Tima-ru for Dunedin was defeated.

The possibility of New Zealand being represented in tlie Davis Cup competition and at Wi mb let on next yeai- was considered. The chairman (Mr A. G. Henderson) said that the matter had been discussed with' Mr D. Andrewte, who was very anxious for a New Zealand player te go Home so 'that if he improved sufficiently he would be available to represent New Zealand in tlie Davis Gup competition. A. C. Steelman was joining Andrews and the idea was that if iStedman showed improvement he would he included in the New Zealand team, permission had been given to Andrews and Stednian to play in matches at Ceylon, Bombay and other places cn route as representing New Zealand. It wai? hoped that the from such matches would reimburse the association. If iSfedninn inn-oved, there was the possibility that the two would be the' nucleus of a team to enter for the Davis Cup next year.
