CRISIS IN MARYLAND.

BALTIMORE, February 24

Governor Ritchie, of the State of Maryland, late on Friday night, declared. Saturday a legal holiday for all banking and financial institutions m Maryland, and also Monday and Tuesday in an effort on the part -of the banks to take measures against heavy withdrawals made this week. Tins Chairman (Mr Bruce), of the Board of Baltimore Trust Coy., said that- withdrawals amounting to six million dollars had been made on Friday at his institution, aud 1 the week’s withdrawals amounted to thirteen-millions.
