MELBOURNE, 'February 24,
Laurence Roy, nineteen, who fell when competing in the final of the half-mile Australian Cycle Championship, at the exhibition speedway, fractured his skull and died in the hospital.
Roy, a week previously, won the Australian Mile Championship.
