Mr Hunt: Wlmt a pity she got bail after being arrested last week, otherwise this poor, ijnfortunate bluejacket would not have' been caught.
CosgraA r e • Eve known him for six vea.rs.
• Mr Hunt: A moneylender bailed Cosgrave last Aveek. I remember noAV. I suppose it Avas done so this fool of a sailor could marry her, so this defence could be raised. If the other girl had got bail I suppose she would have married a sailor, too.
The Magistrate sentenced both accused to three months’ imprisonment. “I hope,” he said, <[ the other sailor boy will not be foolish enough to go on with his marriage boav.”
