The result of yesterday mcnr.'ing’s play was a follows: Championship Singles, First Life:— Mrs Mercer "(Grey) beat Mrs Topliss (Grey), 26—18; Mrs Gillespie (Westport) beat Mrs Whibley (Grey) 26-22; Mrs Tennant (Grey), beat Mrs Robertson (Grey) 25-16: Second life: Mrs Haml'leton (Grey) beat Mrs Tennent (Grey), 26—24; Mrs Mercer (Grey) beat Mrs McCracken (Runanga) 26-10.
Handicap Singles:—-Mrs , Mercer (Gicv), 5 bisques, beat Mrs A 1 born (R oefton), Id bisques, 26—To. H'livdicep Hon bids: —Mi’s Allan Smith and Mrs Reynolds (Grey), 6 bisques, beat Mrs Kearns n-n<l Mrs Albor.n (Reefton), 10 bisques, 23—13Mrs Orsboiirn and Mrs TVicken ’(Reefton), 6 bisques, beat Mrs McKay and Mrs Topliss (Grey), 5 bisques, 26—4. The Rutting Competition was won by Mrs Fogarty.
