Mr- Justice .Ostler in the Supreme Court sentenced prisoners as follows George CauteH, .indecency charges in connection with his live years’ 'hard. Alexander Myles, for shooting and maiming James William Carradus atPa’tea, five years’ hard.
Ernest George Smiley, and Charles Henry Bourne, ..breaking and entering, and theft from a dwelling, three years’ reformative each. William Fredrick Lealiy, negligently driving ear at Karioi'i causing death, nine months’. Alexander Lewis Milne, indecent acts j : n ep.u'nfecfcio.i wish (xvj o’.iil.lr|pU), - seven vein's’ hard.
Mr Justice Ostler said that "this was one of the’ worst cases that has ever come to his knowledge on the bench or the bar.
