COMMENT ON FINAL TEST*.
WALL MAY YET BE PLAYING.
(Per Press Association — Copyright.)
(Received this day at 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY,. February 23.
Although by winning the Ashes England has taken some interest out of the final test which is opening to-mor-row, the public generally are looking forward to a hard fought game, wherein the batsmen are expected to take more risks than hitherto.
It is not yet absolutely certain that Wall will be out of the Australian side but it is regarded as highly improbable that Allen will play for England, widen is regretted. Several special trains from Melbourne arrived in Sydney bringing neauy three thousand people from Adelaide. The weather at Sydney to-day is. very hot x i and its continuance is - forecast. The wicket is in splendid order.
