LONDON, February 21

Mr Patrick Lawlor, a native, of County Kerry, Ireland, who went to Australia as a youth, died recently at Rome. He left £103,438, exclusive of assets in New South Wales, llis bequests include £IOOO to the Kerry poor. Half of his residuary estate is bequested to the Pope for the propagation of Roman Catholicism..

Mr Lawlor' also left shares worth £28,230 to Arclibihop Mannix, of Victoria, a nd to other Australian Prelates he left large sums to establish Homes in Australia find to found a Catholic newspaper and to complete the construction of certain churches. His widow receives a life interest in their house and the contents, which thereafter will go to charitable institutions.
