Gregory withdrew his plea oh noli guilty and was sentenced to two months’ and fined £SO and fifty guineas costs. Mr Jiirkett- urged leniency ,in view of the fact that the case was the first of its kind. Gregory would not. repeat his offence.

IMauuday Gregory, editor of the Whitehall Gazette, was charged last Thursday with an offence against the Honours Prevention of Abuses Act.
