NEAV YORK, February 20

Air Roosevelt, announced, -after a talk with Ambassador Lindsay on Alonday, that “broader aspects of world economic and other situations” li-aci been discussed. He said that the conversation would be resumed at an early date, as soon as bis choice of a Secretary of State is announced. He will then have him and Sir R. Lindsay work on the problems involved.

The statement said: “The British Ambassador lias given Air Roosevelt, .unofficially his views of the British Government touching broader aspects of the world economic problem and other situations. The conversations between them were confined to the general -aspect of the problem. No specific proposal relating to tlie AVorld Economic Conference or the inter-Government debts was discussed. The resumption of the conversation will take place at an early date. Mr Roosevelt will ask the new Secretary of .State when his choice is announced, to confer unofficially on the same subjects. The conferene lasted two ’ ■' hours. Upon Ihavdng, Mir Roosevelt’s home Sir R-. Lindsay said that he concurred in the statement issued by Air Roosevelt.
