FOR BREACH OF GAMING ACT.

' 'NAPIER, February 20. Percival Rhys Wingrove, secretary of the Wellington Tail-Waggers’ Club and a person prohibited under the Gaming Act regulations from attending race meetings, was fined £5 with 10s costs by Mr Mowlem, S.M., this morning. Accused went on to the course with an Alsatian dog to collect funds for the Mub. The evidence showed tihat he had been convicted of false pretences and issuing valueless cheques. He had been warned previously.
