SWISS CONSUL

APPOINTMENT AT AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, February 20.

Following a decision by the Swiss Government to give full effect to tile Law that only Swiss citizens may occupy positions on its diplomatic and consular staff, Mr J. A, C. Allum, who has been Swiss Consul in Auckland for the last seven years, has resigned. Mr Allum will be succeeded by Mr Albert Blau, who is in charge of the Swiss Consulate in Glasgow. Mr Blau is expected to arrive in New Zeabind about the middle of next month. It has not yet been decided where he will establish his headquarters in the Dominion, but he will spend some time in Auckland with Mr Allum.
