HEADMASTER, HAS THE LAUGH
A headmaster recently caught a boy in the act of committing. a serious breach of school rules, and told him that he would punish him three days lienc-e.
In class three days later, while working on the blackboard, with hishack to the hoys, the master said: “The boy who, committed the serious offence three days ago must report to my. study-* for punishment this evening.” He mentioned no-, name, but when lie reached his study lie found seven boys awaiting him. The headmaster, Mr P. Wylies, related this as the most humorous episode in his career, when speaking at the annual piy-e-giving at Kingsbridge Grammar School, Devonshire, recently. At least six boys in the school are still unable to see the funny side of it.
