It is understood that the English Rugby Union authorities hive .refused to agree to certain alterations to the rules which Australian players consider to be vital in the interests of the game in this country. The autlvori. ties are awaiting a letter from England detailing the views held there, and are hoping that some way out of the critic I situation ■existing may be found. The authorities here contend that, a ret,nr;: to the international law will he fatal to the Rugby Union code in yueenslnnd, which has eleven players in the Australian team that is going to •South (Africa in April.
It i,s understood that it also is proposed to iscnd an Australian Rugby Union colts team to New Zealand towards the close of the coming season, if this is acceptable to New Zealand.
The All Blacks will b 0 invjted to viisit Australia in 1934 to meet the Wall a bias, who will be fresh from their South African tour.
