The United States Senate_ to-day adopted th e Blaine resolution for the repeal of th e prohibition amendment, with protection for dry States, from the liquor importations, tha ratification to be iby Senate conventions. The vote wits 63 for the resolution, and 23 against'. Th e Blaine resolution now goe (3 to the House. Speaker Garner 'predicted this morning that if the resolution wer e adopted by the 'Senate, .in the form it was, it would he approved by flip House, under suspension rules, on Monday. The Senate vote on the 13-year-oid amendment was marked by tension, th e ' fi°°r being ci'bwde'u by members of the House, who stood behind the many iSenatois, seated quietly in their chairs, answering their . names.
