FIELD MARSHAL ROBERTSON.

(British Official Wireless.)

RUGBY, February 16.

The late Field Marshal Sir William Robertson, was buried to-day at Brookwood cemetery. The obsequies were without military ceremonial. The same simplicity was observed at a memorial service held earlier at Westminster Abbey. While each regiment in which Sir William Robertson had served ”' was represented at the service, no uniforms were worn.

Lord Aiienby represented the King, while the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Connaught were also represented.

There were many Cabinet Ministers, ex-Ministers, also Ambassadors, military attaches and representatives of the Dominions among the large congregation at the Abbey.
