The stock exchange has issued a circular to ’shareholders in all companies iii" Australia and New Zealand warning the public against exchanging shares in well established companies for bonds cr shares in. certain new undertakings. ’Canvassers are alleged to be promising higher interest', and to he making other promises' difficult of fulfilment. The circular jidynts out that higher'"interest can seldom he obtained without' the acceptance of' less security and greater risk, and that, therefore, it would' be unwise to be tempted by alluring promises in ’ • siTi'li times as these. ■' •
