TOWN’S CENTENARY

CELEBRATIONS AT BATHURST. SYDNEY, February 12. Bathurst celebrated its centenary yesterday with the inauguration by the Premier, Mr Stevens, of a “Back to Bathurst Week.” There was a very large gathering, despite a ukase bv the local Labour League, that all labour men and unionists should boycott the proceedings. Mr Stevens congratulated the city on the progress it had made, and op the part tlie district was taking in the habilitntion of the State’s fortunes. He pointed out that unemployment at Bathurst had been reduced over fifty per cent in six months.
