FURTHER PROTEST

AGAINST HIGHER CHANGE.

\2 'er Press Association — Copyright )

WELLINGTON, January 27

The associated Chambers of Commerce executive, after free discussion in committee this morning, passed a resolution in which it said that the Associated Chambers had always opposed Government interference in commercial business. The present Government pursued a policy oil progressive and increasng interference, culminating in the fixation of exchange rates.

The association solemnly protests against this latest and greatest act of interference, and especially “against the breach of faith by the Prime Minister who had but recently stated that positively and definitely the fixation of exchange rate! was a, matter with which the Government would not interfere. The associated Chambers of Commerce, representing the Commercial community, are therefore reluctantly compelled, to state publicly that it as lost all confidence in the present Government.
