PILOT SUSPENDED
PENALTY FOR LOW FLYING. NEW PLYMOUTH, Jnliitaly 24. A member of the New Plymouth Aero Club, W. Stanton,.wns last week permanently suspended frotn flying the machines of the Western Federated Flying Club, on the grounds of flying dangerously low. This decision "’fl® made known at a meeting of the coun* oil , 0 f the Western Federated Flying Club held at Hawera, when Dr W. F. Buist presided. Another pilot, B. Haybittle, a member o? the Hawera Aero Club, was fined £2O, half the cost of the repairs, as the result of a crash afi Mokoia, near Hawera, on December 16. The offences committed by Haybittle were landing oil an unauthorised landing ground and flying the plane, when only temporarily repaired, to Wellington agains the '•.instructions of the ground engineer.
