REPAIRS TO WATERLOO BRIDGE. (United Press Association-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, January 24. A letter from the Ministry of Transport was 'read at the London County Council meeting to-day, which stated that the Government has reached the conclusion to proceed to recondition Waterloo Bridge. The estimated cost is £685,000. A grant of 60 per cent, of the cost will be made by the Ministry. It was suggested that the question of the corbelling of the bridge should be referred to the Fine Arts Commission.
