THRILLING RESCUE IN SURF.

Miss Lily Beaurepaire, former Australian swimming champion, was the central figure of a thrilling rescue of four men who had been swept by the undertow, into the heavy surf at Lome. She ran a. quarter of a mile on hearing the alarm, swam two hundred yards, and brought the men ashore on a surf hoard.
