MEN’S PRECEDENCE OVER WOMEN. LONDON, January 18. It takes a woman two hours to buy a frock, but a man can choose five suits in less than forty minutes. A departmental manager of a West End store in London said thig (recently as he was preparing for the Great Christmas rush. “We have sold as many as 20 suits in 20 minutes during the pre-Christ-mas season,” the manager said, “but if we had the largest staff in the world we should never sell the same number of frocks in the same time. “A man takes on an average eight to ten minutes to make a purchase, because lie enters a shop knowing exactly what lie wants and he gets it without any fuss. “But with women—well, it’s different.”
