The statement of claim sets out several defamatory statements alleged to have been mad e by defendant against plaintiff. The allegations relate to the collection of rewards for lost dog?, veterinary treatment of dogs and collection of funds by the Alsatian, Prin c e. Three persons, two of whom a'e members of the Tailwaggers Club, are named m the claim as having been witnesses to the damaging statements alleged to have been made. It is set out that in consequence of the remarks attributed to defendant plaintiff has been injmyd in reputation, particularly 111 his office m secretary of ' the Tailwaggers Club.
