The Irish election issue is still uncertain, and the parties are unable to guess how the small farmers will vote. Tile honours of-the campaign belong to de Valeraites whose publicity organisation and strategy is described as superior to the Cosgraveites. Air de Valera, despite his disastrous record, has forced Mr Cosgrave to .stand on the defensive against charges of secret agreements of surrender to England. The centre party is likely to attract many, farmer s’ votes.
