Owing to the Jong vacation, it will be hecefesary to phsjj a special act of Parliament to enable the Appeal Court to hear the appeal of Edward Tarrant agafnst his conviction for tip. murder of Janies Flood at Picton. The Bill will be rushed through Parliament next week and the C olu ’t "'i |J probably sit on January 31st. Under the ordinary-circumistanc-Pfi it would not sit till March 18th.
