YOUTH FATALLY SHOT,
INVERCARGILL, January 15. While on a fishing and shooting expedition at Northope (near Wintoa) on Saturday afternoon, William Walker, aged 17 K of. Invercargill, 'was, it is presumed, accidentally fatally shot. Although no member of the party of foiir actually saw the fatal shot fired, it appears that W r alker discharged his own gun by accident, death being almost instantaneous. The bullet entered the right side above the hip. ; INJURED BY BURSTING BOTTLE. AUCKLAND, January 15. Severe cuts to both hands ;and wrists were received by Arnold Agnew, aged 22, a barman at the Clarendon Hotel, when a bottle of stout he was holding burst in-his hands. Agnew wa s taken to the Auckland Hospital, and several stitches were inserted.
