COMET OBSERVED
REPORT FROM HAMILTON.
HAMILTON, January 2.
i The comet reported to have been observed from Adelaide last week was located by a Hamilton observer, its position being right ascension 23 hours 43 minutes, south declination 19 degrees 15 minutes. The comet is stated to be several times larger than Geddes’ comet, being about six or eight minutes of ore in diameter, hut quite faint and diffused, and- possessing no apparent nucleus. It is below tlie limit of naked eye vis-, ibility and, being in the constellation Aquarius, there are no bright stars near it by- which its position may be indicated.
