RELIEVE DISTRESS
j A FUND STARTED. (UrUcd Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) GENEVA, December 28. A new international organisation lias been created at Geneva under the League of Nations auspices, namely, a fund for the relief of distress, due to any disaster of exceptional magnitude beyond the capacity of local resources. , Twenty-seven countries, including Britain, India, New Zealand, France, Germany and Italy have so far joined the new organisation which has an initial capital of 420 thousand Swiss fames, but its principal resources will depend on donatons, bequests and public contributions.
