M r de Valera’s Government is faced with a crisis, owing to it s having taken the decision to reduce civil service salaries on January 1. The reduction is in accordance with the reduction of the cost of living. Mr Norton’s Labourite followers, who hold the Balance of power in th e Dail Eireann, are strongly opposing the Government’s decision.
