CAR STRIKES POLE
DRIVER’S LUCKY ESCAPE
(Per Press Association — Copyright WHANGAREI, December 27. A large .service car owned by the Northern Motor-Mis Company, Limited, Whangarei, and dr;v fc n by Mr Arthur Wilkinson, wa s .severely damaged on .Mi/unu Road through skidding on the greasy clay road and striking a telegraph pole, which was broken by the impact. Although the car was considerably damaged, Mr Wilkinson was not injured. Fortunately there were no passengers in the car.
